The One Thing · A free 30-day challenge from Chasing Enough

There's one thing you keep negotiating with.

You know which one. For the next 30 days, you stop negotiating. One promise to yourself, kept every day. That's how self-trust gets built.

One short email a day for 30 days. Free. Start any day.

(if you thought "oh no, not that one," it's that one)

It was never about willpower.

You set the alarm for 6 and get up at 7:30. You say "just this once" on a Tuesday. You tell yourself you'll start Monday.

None of it looks like a big deal. But each one is a small promise you made to yourself and broke. Do it enough and you stop believing yourself.

How you do one thing is how you do everything.

From Chapter 11 of Chasing Enough

Three steps. Thirty days.

01

Name it.

The thing you reach for when you don't want to feel something. Wine on a Tuesday. The scroll before bed. The cart you fill "just to look." Email before your feet hit the floor.

02

Choose it.

"For the next 30 days, I choose not to ___." Choose, not can't. Telling yourself no creates lack. Choosing puts the decision back in your hands.

03

Name what it makes room for.

"...so that I can ___." More focus. Mornings that feel like yours. Presence at dinner. Giving something up only works when you know what you're making room for.

What shows up in your inbox

  • A short email every morning for 30 days. Two minutes to read, one move for the day.
  • A weekly check-in built on the Well-Resourced Method: Get Real, Get Clear, Get Resourced, Get Moving.
  • The exact questions for when the urge hits, when someone asks why you're not, and when you slip.
  • A Day 30 that asks what you proved, and what you want to choose next.

This is not about wanting less. It is about wanting more and paying less for it.

Where this came from

A few years ago, my husband and I belonged to more than one wine club. It didn't matter if it was a Tuesday or a Saturday. A glass, or two, was how we celebrated the wins and numbed the losses.

I made rules. Only weekends. Only two. Then a two-week cleanse, then right back. I was negotiating with myself every night, and every negotiation cost me a little more trust in my own word.

So I took it off the table for 30 days. Not as punishment. As proof.

It was the first domino. When I got to day 30, I kept going. Then I started keeping other promises too. That one domino led to bigger stages, pressing publish, my best body, and a confidence that doesn't waver.
